You have a choice of 12 different countries, and as you play for them you progress through new eras, gradually evolving and getting stronger. The Rise of Rome expansion pack expands the game’s countries to Manage units and machinery. Use your troops to attack your enemies, build buildings, gather resources, etc. Mine 4 types of resources: Gold, Stone, Wood, and Food.
Stone lets you build buildings and walls. Wood is needed to create buildings, ships, farms and bows. Food is needed to feed your troops, and gold is spent to develop technology and train your army.
The main goal of the quests often comes down to defeating your opponent, but the mechanics are much broader. Engage in diplomacy, seek out allies, team up with neutral factions, and fight your enemies.
